I watched the '98 classic, Great Expectations this past weekend. It's hard to believe that the movie was made 15 years ago, let alone the book published in 1860...Something about stories like these, that really have yet to surface in our day. If you haven't seen it (or it's been a while), it's the perfect reason for a movie night. These purple flowers (jacaranda trees) are aplenty in southern California. I love how it slightly reminds me of Paradiso Perduto (Dickens)... it makes summer romantic. So pretty! And the perfect setting for my new silver babies that have exceeded my comfort expectations...
