Shades of Brown

Gap sweater | Charlotte Ronson boots | Mom's old corduroy coat | Elizabeth & James sunglasses

I've never been that keen on getting items in that brown/nude/beige hue selection. As a pretty tan Asian, I tend to stay away from those colors that wash me out. Somehow, practically all the brown things I own came together in one outfit. From the bag to the shoes. This coat is years old...my mom apparently got it when she was working in Korea before she was even married. Some things last forever (not just diamonds). I must admit it's a tad heavy (being a thick corduroy and all) but it definitely keeps you warm. My sisters are leaving to go back to NY tomorrow... but I'll see them again in a week when I fly there, so it's not as heartbreakingly lonely when they leave this time. In fact, I'll be able to enjoy a quiet house this week. Hey sisters, are you reading this?
