Heated and I love it

Yes, I feel like I have to shower every thirty minutes, but still. This is why I love California. I saw a cute knotted t-shirt and realized I should just make my own. Thus, I pulled out one of many plain white tees I have and ta-dah! The easiest DIY ever! Still debating if I should do something about the rather tight fitted neckline. Love this skirt...because it brings some bright colors to my rather dull hue of a wardrobe. Gotta go shopping with Jess more often. Planning on dinner with the cousins tomorrow night, hiking Saturday morning... and still no official plans for 4th of July. Need to find a fireworks viewing spot quick!

Paul and Jamie's Lovely Wedding

The venue, the food, the dessert bar, the flower girls, the surrounding bamboo, and of course, the lovely bride and groom. It was an absolutely gorgeous wedding...right down to the striped straws. My sister labored over the cupcakes up until right before the wedding. And they were quite the hit. Despite the hot weather, we had wooden sun umbrellas and fans to help with the heat. Additionally, the scene in every direction was breathtaking as the sun began to set... I scored this top at the ArynK sample sale right before the wedding, while my sister was finishing up the final frosting on the cupcakes. I have a slightly weird tan, but otherwise, it worked well with the skirt. The food was soo good. I had to take a picture of my sister's plate because it was way more organized than mine.

Testing Hair

I'm so excited for my cousin's wedding this Saturday. Thus, my sister is flying in from NYC, yay!... even though I just saw her last month. I spent my morning testing the hair style I imagined in my head with my newly cut hair. Turned out as expected, but will probably need to adjust a bit here and there. The wedding is outdoors, and in this weather, decided an updo would be most appropriate to avoid stickiness. I think it's about time I hit the beach. Except I realized the last swimsuit I bought was years ago... and therefore, in need of a desperate upgrade. Need to find one quick!

I was slightly confused when the bf greeted me this morning saying David saw me on Complex.com. First, I thought it was a website that posted people that displayed some sort of complex... which might make sense, and thought I was being given an intervention? Until I realized that it is actually a website with everything from pop culture, sneakers, music, city guides, and the like. How exciting!

So apart from that excitement, I love this extremely comfy fringe top... despite the fact that the fringe falls out rather easily...via pulling to be exact. As long as I'm being somewhat careful, it should be okay. Additionally, you can't go wrong with ultimate sales at Gap and their 1969 jeans.

Summer Romper

I swear it was sunny just 2 days ago in la. I refuse to take any pictures in the jacket that I actually had to wear today. I don't own many rompers. Actually, I have two, including this one. Something about it gave off a comfy, mechanic vibe. I usually steer away from rompers/jumpsuits because its a pain when going to the restroom. I plan on getting a much needed haircut tomorrow. As much as I think it'll make a difference, I'm betting I'll come out of the salon with my bf asking if I actually did something.

Back to reality after an overwhelmingly fun weekend in Vegas. I guess reality sometimes aint that bad... but still nostalgic. I must admit, the weather was super dry and hot... which was sometimes uncomfortable, but magically kept my makeup perfectly in place. Thanks to all those who made it so much funnnnn!

LA Lobster Roll

I believe the closest thing to the lobster rolls at Chelsea Market in NYC, is Oak Gourmet. Among other salivating menu options, like their aged burger and cracked egg pizza, the lobster roll caught my eye this time around after having one in New York. Although not quite up to par, it was good and several dollars cheaper. Actually made me crave the one in NY even more. After lunch, we walked across the street to Gelson's Market to contemplate some ice cream options and finally opted for one of Haagen-Dazs' limited edition flavors, Bananas Foster. We finished the whole thing in the next 15 min in the car.

Gaylord Building

Photos from the bf's work outing to the Gaylord building on Wilshire Blvd. I've always seen it passing by, just assuming it was an outdated hotel. I have confirmed that it is outdated. But the pub/bar inside completely took me back to my days in London. Dim lighting, dark carpet, royalty inspired artwork, and a menu of fish and chips and lamb chops. Additionally, to make it even more enjoyable, the waitress was willing to bring out alllll the condiments for my London Club Sandwich that my heart desired...all with a smile.

My early birthday present from the bf! It's expected that he can't wait until my actual birthday. But anyway, I am decked out head-to-toe in Reebok's Reetone line. From tank, to pants, to shoes. If only I could tone by just wearing the gear... Even jumping around for this shot tired me out. I could feel the tension.

Memorial Day was spent at a friend's bbq... although I may appear to be sitting on the steps of a grandiose church, it's actually her front door. She def has some mad cooking skills... and invited all of us over for wine, asado, and sunbathing. While waiting around, I had some of her delicious gazpacho. Everyone brought their cute doggies and the weather was simply perfect. I wish I had taken more photos of the immense amount of mouthwatering food we stuffed ourselves with... Can't wait for the next get together at her place...
