Weekend Delights

H&M pleated high waisted skirt | DIY white t-shirt | shoes from Korea (Pierre Hardy look-a-likes)

I wish all weekends were like this. Pampas brazillian churrascaria at the Grove Farmer's market with pale ale, peppermint bark and caramel popcorn, and checking out an exciting exhibit at the Annenburg Space for Photography. I've been begging the bf to go there since in opened, and I finally convinced him that it was the perfect opportunity. Despite fears of carmageddon, it was super packed at the Grove, but at the same time smooth cruisin on the freeway. The Annenburg Space for Photography was like a hidden jewel... lovely location surrounded by high rise buildings. The exhibit featured a great documentary video all about the "cult" nature of beauty... from supermodels to asian/ethnic models, toddler pageant queens to the elderly, plastic surgery to masectomies. It was both enlightening, heartfelt, insightful, and truly eye-opening all the same time. They really conveyed the message of "beauty" in all aspects right on the money. They even had homemade rice crispies treats and a beauty makeover station (which actually wasn't as exciting as it looks). Best of all, it's free!
